The 31st October 2017 marks the 500th anniversary since a German monk and theologian by the name of Martin Luther, allegedly nailed his 95 theses to the door of the church in Wittenberg, sparking the beginning of the protestant reformation. To mark this anniversary, Annan URC are having two special services.
On 22nd October, we hope to welcome the girls’ brigade to teach us in dramatic fashion about the history of the church, looking back on the somewhat circuitous route taken from early believers in biblical times to Annan URC today.
On 29th October, having learned about the past, we will take the time to look to the future, giving congregation members the opportunity to think about and consider questions pertinent to the next 500 years of Christianity.
Everyone is invited to both services to listen, take part, learn, think and enjoy.
