Church Notices for week beginning 1 st October
Our Church Anniversary Communion Service was led by our Synod Moderator Revd Dr David Pickering. We extended our thanks to the Moderator for agreeing to take this service.
Monday 2nd October – Floral Art Class meet at 7.00pm. For those that are attending this class there is an information leaflet listing the materials required in the pink folder on the magazine rack in the church vestibule.
Tuesday 3rd October – Knit & Natter Social Time meets at 10.00am.
Games Afternoon for the young & not so young meets in the hall at 2.00pm.
Rainbow Tribe & Spectrum meet from 6.00pm
Thursday 5th October -The Girls Brigade meet at 6.00pm
Friday 6th October – Annan Churches Together ‘Fridays in Faith’ meets from 7 to 8.30pm in The HUB, Ednam Street. The theme for the evening is “The Kitchen”.
Next Sunday 8th October – Church Service & Sunday Seekers is at 10.30am
This is our Harvest Thanksgiving Service and will be led by Mrs Val Brown from Christian Aid. Donations of dried, tinned & packaged items for the Thanksgiving Table will be gratefully received prior to the service.
After the service the Harvest Donations will be distributed to Kates Kitchen & the Food Bank to aid with their work in the town.
At the moment the amount raised from our Vestry Day Appeal stands at £1606.20. The Elders thank all those who came along on Saturday and donated towards this figure.
Anyone wishing a copy of the 2018 editions of either the Reform Magazine or the Prayer Handbook would they please contact Jim Murray: As Soon As Possible.
Christmas Child Shoebox Appeal. We still have some empty shoeboxes to be filled for children for Christmas. Please take them from the table at the back of the church.
We also have a number of children’s woolly hats which are free to take away to be included in your shoebox.
Food Bank and Tombola. A reminder that dried, tinned & packaged items for the Food Bank & prizes for the Tombola are still required. Contributions can be left in the marked boxes in the church vestibule.
